I know I might be a bit early saying this but I’m so excited for the upcoming Christmas season and especially the movies! It’s my favorite time of the year and I always try my best to not start it too early. Normally I can make it past halloween and even Thanksgiving, but not this year.
I think it has a lot to do with this absolutely crazy year, nothing is normal but I’m determined to not let this pandemic ruin Christmas!
My favorite thing about pre Christmas
I LOVE to watch christmas movies! For me it is the best way to get in the right spirit. I’m always looking forward to seeing what the streaming sites have prepared for us for this season.
One movie that I can’t wait to see is Holidate which will be released on Netflix just before Halloween, on October 28! In other words, only a couple of weeks away! Emma Roberts and Luke Bracey star in this movie as two singles who are not into Christmas (crazy, I know!) They decide to be each other plus one for every holiday season party and as you surely can imagine end up falling for each other and for the holidays season.
Check this out if you still think it’s too early to think about Christmas movies!
Operation Christmas Drop
Next out on my list of movies to watch is Operation Christmas Drop! Here we follow Erica to the Pacific for the holiday season as she’s chasing a promotion and her boss is insisting she joins him.
She clashes with her tour guide as she’s there to find reasons to defund the facility. The tour guide, Andrew, has a project to drop gifts for people on remote islands with parachutes, a long standing tradition in the area. Despite the two of them being on opposite sides with different goals, Erica soons softens as she grows accustomed to the local Christmas traditions..
Dash and Lily
Dash and Lily seems like the perfect holiday movie. And I can’t believe I have to wait until November 10 to watch it. Cynical Dash and Lily who is optimistic take turns in passing a notebook between them at different locations in New York City. By sharing their dreams, hopes and desires they realize that they have much more in common than what they thought.
It turns into a whirlwind Christmas romance. It sounds like the perfect movie for me! I hope time flies.
A much awaited 2nd season of a Christmas TV-show
Last year I discovered an absolutely amazing TV-show on Netflix, Home for Christmas. It’s Norwegian and it’s cosy and funny and so christmassy! This year the second season is coming in December and I’m so excited! I think I’ll actually rewatch the first season this weekend!
I don’t know if you are as excited about Christmas and the movies and TV-shows as I am. But either way it is a great way of getting that special feeling and setting the mood for the holidays season! It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
